Sacred Sounds / Sound Therapy / Overtone Singing

Sound For Health leads regular workshops in the field of sacred sound.

Ever wanted to be more musical? Ever thought that you could play an instrument but have been told that you ‘don’t have what it takes’ or that you need to be able to read music and understand music theory?

Would you be interested in instruments that;

Need no prior experience and no musical ‘ability’

Can be played by anyone from 5 to 80

Can allow musical expression free from judgement

Can allow player and listener alike to enter deep states of meditative calm and connectedness to their higher selves

Can release energy blockages and balance the energies of the chakras

Can facilitate personal journeying and transformation

Can facilitate the learning of new skills to stimulate mind and body

A lifetime fascination with rare and unusual sounds has led Jonathan Cope (of Sound For Health) to seek many instruments and vocal techniques that can be used to soothe body, mind, and soul. Scientific studies have confirmed the many benefits of music and sound, particularly their ability to combat stress and allow the body to self-regulate and heal itself. Having studied for five years with leading exponents in these varied techniques Jonathan facilitates introductions and in-depth journeying with various styles of ‘Throat’ or ‘Overtone’ singing, chant, mantras, and the use of Tibetan prayer bowls, crystal bowls, Didjeridoo, frame drums, bells, gongs, chimes, and jawharp, amongst others.
